THE NEW SOUND
Born during the late '90s in South London, Dubstep is the fusion of 2-Step Garage, Jungle, and Dub into one bass-heavy atmospheric experience. Despite its evolution, Dubstep's raw underground sound still pulses through the global music scene. The New Sound is an exhibit that highlights growth through the genre’s contemporary manifestations. Through graphic treatment, timelines, and panels dedicated to the the genre’s wave-makers, this exhibit exemplifies the genre’s constant focus on experimentation while honoring Dubstep’s roots.
